How to cure low body temperature ?

My sister is around 46 years old. She is ALWAYS cold. Even in summer
she is cold.

Her health is normal.

Can anyone suggest what is going on here?

Does anyone have this problem ? Found any solution ? Any over the
counter medicines ?
Any particular foods worked ?

Pls let me know.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Of course, she should wear a hat and wool clothing. Sheepskin booties
are the warmest thing to wear when sleeping.

Just because you /feel/ cold doesn't mean that you have a low core
body temperature.

For instance, during the onset of a fever, you may experience chills.
You are not really cold; your temperature is in fact rising.

So the first step is to forget your home diagnosis of whatever problem
or non-problem your sister is having, and have it professionally
looked at.

If she not only feels cold but is in fact is cold: cold hands, cold
feet, etc. She could be suffering from an underactive thyroid gland
(hypothyroidism). That's something to get checked out.

Well, there could be several factors. One thing I've noticed is that
people from northern countries seem to tolerate cold weather much more
than people whose ancestors were raised closer to the equator. The
way I discovered this was quite by accident where we had a lot of
employees that work either of Swedish decent or African American
decent. In the wintertime, those with Swedish ancestors always wanted
the heat turned it down, while those of African descent wanted that he
turned up. There seems to be a gender differences as well. Almost
all the women that I have known get cold feet and were socks to bed in
the wintertime. They also seem to be called more than men all the
time. A third factor of course is weight. Having people tend to stay
warm and perspire a lot, while thin people tend to perspire less and
feel the cold more. Since the topic here is weight and diet, there
are probably lots of folks who have lost weight and notice this to be
true. I know I have! In fact, if I drink a couple of diet sodas, I
have to wear a cold around the house for a while. Dkw
