Default progress (lack of) this week ...

Hi,

I lost 0 lb this week. Not surprsing, really, that work trip I went
on last week ended up in the pub and I ate and drank too much. I
weighed myself a couple of days later and had put on 3lb. So I
suppose on the bright side I have shifted that gain (which, before I
started on this new woe/wol, would have stayed on and added to all the
other lbs I put on). And it has reminded me that the odd blow out is
fine, as long as I don't do it regularly.

Exercise this week has been several short walks, couple of bike rides
and a belly dancing class.

This coming week I'll be making more of an effort to watch what I'm
eating, and to exercise more. For the past couple of weeks I have
stopped writing down everyting I eat, because I was fed up with
weighing and measuring all the time, and felt that the lessons I'd
learned from doing that for several weeks would help me with eating
right and portion control. I think now, what I need to do, is record
everything for one week a month or something like that, to keep a
check on my calorie intake and keep educating myself about how I eat.

I've set a mini-goal of losing another 4lb before easter. That would
bring my total weight loss to 25 lb, 10% of my original body weight.

thanks everyone,
Clarrie x

You're doing great, Clarrie. Don't let this one week blip discourage you.
We all have them and it's just a matter of jumping back on track.

I don't always journal but think it's a good idea when we've either stalled
or started gaining again. It certainly makes us aware of every little
morsel we put in our mouth.

clarrie,

I found myself in the same situation and have also learned that it is
extremely important for me to keep my self going that I journal
everything that goes into my mouth. I am constantly amazed by what
information is out there that I DON'T know. I have discovered that I
don't know *everything* lol.
Keep hanging in there and I urge you to keep posting here.

You've doing great. The fact that you kept exercising is fab. This is
an extremely minor bump.

I heard that, girlfriend. Sometimes I'd rather poke myself in the eye
with a stick than log on to fitday.com for the fifth time in a day.

That will be awesome! You can do it.

I will keep on posting. The discipline of weighing myself and posting
my weight once a week helps to keep me accountable, and to keep on
going.

I don't know if I can keep up recording everything I eat every day for
all the months it will take me to lose all the weight I want to shift,
but I think I will do it for 1 week a month, to keep me focused on
portion size and calorie contents.
