Here is a great site for fast food restaurant food count.

I stumbled upon this site once before. There's lots of good
information, but it would sure be nice if they included carb and
protein counts instead of just calories and fat. Without that, there
isn't enough data to fill in my spreadsheet with the stuff I track.

I still prefer whole fat dressings as lowfat ones are filled with sugar
and too sweet for my tastes. I just dip the veggies into a little bit and
I don't use much dressing at all.

I use full fat homemade salad dressings for my own salads. equal parts
of extra-virgin olive oil and vinegar, a pinch of cayenne and salt, yum!

1/2 a tablespoon of olive oil (1.5 teaspoons) has 60 calories, and it's
a good fat. (In other words - a "standard serving" of one tablespoon
has 120 calories ... not too bad if you eat one serving or less)

That's how much I use (measured) for each of my servings
of salad. 1/2 tablespoon.

I find that the fat scratches where it itches, and coats an
entire serving. (Most people are used to soupy salad).

I've tried the low-fat dressings too. They taste too sickeningly sweet
to me due to their high sugar content (or whatever they use for
sweetener) and the ingredients I've read can choke a mule - ick blech.

Have you guys tried using normal sour cream for dressing. It tastes
great, is a natural product, has no sugar etc. I hate all salad

I often use full-fat plain yogurt (ingredients: Milk ingredients,
bacterial culture - that's it). Again, I am picky when it comes to
ingredients, and sour cream that I've seen has ingredients I
don't care to eat.

Prior to that I was completely dairy free, but somehow plain
yogurt seems to agree with me.

I am a taco bell junkie but when I am doing healthy fast food I go for
Subway. It's tasty, quick and has plenty of choices that I can eat without
guilt.

My wife introduced me to Taco Bell today. Their "pintos + cheese" is
99 cents, 180 calories, 10 grams of fiber, 4 g of saturated fat. Not
bad at all. I mixed 1.25 ounces of walnuts with mine (to make 400
calories) - pretty tasty - really! Anyone else have a healthy fast
food meal?

A tip I got from Graham Kerr's Minimax Cookbook was to put some dressing
into the salad and put it in the salad spinner. It coats the salad and the
excess comes off.

I like extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. That tastes like **** to
you? EVOO is very healthy for a person.

no, this sounds good. I mean white dressings that they sell at grocery
stores.

I agree, those *are* gross.
