Or an "end all". Ask Jim Fixx (if you can).

He ought to have picked his parents better. ;-)
How's it going in the World O' Mu these days?

Take care,

I've been on an extremely low carb diet (less than 20 grams/day) for
about six years now. I just had my cholesterol checked about two
months ago and it's fine. I waited until after he gave me the results
to tell the doc that I eat over a pound of meat a day.

How many of your original friends, including your wife, parents and
siblings, have visited you in the last year?

I have come to the conclusion that heredity is the biggest factor in the
cholesterol wars. My levels have been pretty much the same for the last 30
years of my life, despite high carb, low fat, low carb lifestyle changes.
Like you I eat tons of meat and fat almost every day, and my recent
colonoscopy was perfect!

I lost about fifty out of the hundred pounds I wanted to shed. My goal
wasn't so much weight reduction, though, as it was blood sugar
stabilization. It was always low, no matter how much I ate. Now,
though, it's in pretty good shape. It's not prefect, but then, I have
fibromyalgia, which means I can't use the energy I take in very
effeciently.

Where in the world did you hear about rheumatism causing energy
inefficiency?
