For immediate relief take a couple of tablespoons of good old Milk of
Magnesia at bed time. Thereafter increase water, fiber and exercise.

Salads, man... salads.

It used to hurt for me to poop so damned bad, I wanted to die. So, I
started eating a high fiber cereal every morning (mixed with my cottage
cheese) along with 100 oz of water and at least one salad a day.

I went from dropping painful "nightsticks" into the porcelin pool to
dropping off some very enjoyable kids at the pool.

Hoo boy can they ever. That's another reason why I'm stopping with my nut
addiction, too many almonds and I get the opposite problem.

Thanks for sharing.

I was gonna say: yes, you'd probably **** yourself if you got the chance to
eat my nuts.

I second the "water, fiber and exercise" advice.

In particular, pounding a couple of pints of water, yes I said pints,
BEFORE BEDTIME with a heaping tablespoon of flaxseed meal (or
flaxseeds, if you like to chew) seems to do the trick. Note: you may
have to get up and pee more often!

As far as the exercise, walking will work. Walking combined with light
weightlifting will work even better. Just not NO exercise.

Do this and you'll forget all about Wheat Bran.

I just started having the same problem, and bought a small can of
Metamucil... Do u suggest that? Probably not for long term tho, eh? I'm
having a hard time finding low/no carb foods that have fiber. I'd like to
stay under 20g if possible...
