Default Scale Question

Any recommendations for a scale that will weigh up to 300 pounds? I've
been using the scale at the gym to weigh myself, but once I break the
300 barrier I want to weigh myself at home as well. Something that will
also estimate my BMI would be helpful.

I've always bought Tanita and been very pleased with them. I just replace
my 10 year old scale for a newer model and gave the old one to one of my
granddaughters. The new one has weight and body fat % in .2 increments.

I think you mean bodyfat rather than BMI. BMI is just a weight/height^2
ratio.

Default Scale Question

My Tanita only lasted 6 months, and quit working.

They are going to replace it, but I have to pack it up and ship it at
my expense.

That happens with every company though..

I've had mine for years without any problems, I double check it every few
months with the WW scales, those are calibrated regularly, and it's still
right on !

I'll also vouch for the company. I don't get the chance to calibrate much
but I had zero surprise at my Dr's office and his scale. Probably at least
5 years old.

Yes, I meant body fat. Thanks for setting me straight!

Another vote for Tanita. I've had mine for about 4 years and it's very
consistent. I wouldn't trust the body fat portion of any of them too much
though after doing a lot of reading about it online. The only drawback with
mine is that it measures in 0.5 pound increments and I would love one that
measures in 0.2 but I have a hard time justifying buying a new scale just
for that. I almost wish it would break but I don't see it happening anytime
soon.
