Default Hypnosis for weight loss

Has anyone tried hypnosis for losing weight? I was reading an ad and
wondering if it works. I know several people who have used it for
cessation of smoking but none for dieting. Your thoughts would be
appreciated.

I experimented with hypnosis in elementary school. It is a powerful
technique. I would bet that it could help one stick to a diet plan.
Perhaps you need to make a plan first, then have the hypnotist help you
stick to it.

Ive had some experience with hyypnosis.
One thing I know is, there are "good" subjects and they respond best, of
course. Being a 'good" subject mostly means being trusting enough to LET
someone hypnotise you. Some people have no problem...others find it
hard or even impossible to "give up control" to another person, often a
stranger. (uless the hypnotist happens to a friend)

Some of these less trusting folks do better with a hypnosis tape or CD
they can work with in the privacy of their home.

In general, Im a pretty good subject and have had three very successful
past life regressions. But the only time I tried it for addiction
control was for smoking, which failed, utterly. Possibly because I didnt
get good vibes from the guy...PLUS, HE was sitting there smoking his
butt off! Didnt exactly fill me with cnfidence.

It's worth a try and kind of fun....oh, and the tapes work fine, too.

I don't know about hypnosis, but I find that if I'm preoccupied with
something I'm less likely to "munch" throughout the day. If I'm busy
enough, eating becomes a chore instead of a respite, so I tend to eat
less then too, and eat better quality foods (rather than comfort
foods).

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.
