With support like this from you and the other members of the group, I
know I will. Thanks.

we found out quite by accident and it is very nice as you are not only
getting vegetables but a variety all in one package so it makes preparation
easier, and there are lots of choices, we even found, "Italian" stir fry at
aldi's, which has Italian green beans, onions, tomatoes, peppers and garlic
in it, very good and inexpensive, I can't remember if it has a sauce or if
the one at Wal-Mart does, both are good, Lee

Thanks, Lee. I never thought of steaming stir fry vegetables, the
asparagus would be delicious--love them, had brussel sprouts for
supper, which I don't love, but I'm trying not to get bored by
cauliflower and green beans.

I'm sure I will, Lee. Just about to go shopping for veggies before
the storm hits this afternoon. Being Type 2 limits what I can have,
but I'm also determined to start eating healthier.

Thanks, Carrie, I'll be going to Chapters to look for the book, it
sounds like just what I need right about now, apart from vegetables.

various appliances of our life...

Getting to that first meeting is a step in the right direction. You can do
this.

One thing we do with brussels sprouts (which I love anyway) is to cook them
with fat-free Italian dressing and a little bit of bacon bits. Some
parmesan on top would be nice, too.

I roast a lot of vegetables. Asparagus takes 10-12 minutes at 400
degrees. I sprinkle with salt, pepper and a tiny bit of olive oil and
then white balsamic when they are tender. Green beans can be done this
way with diced shallot or onion on top.
