Tonia, how many calories do you take in on a day? You have done well and
I wished I was strong like you!! Hang in there.

Hang in there! I hope you do make it to the gym, I know it would frustrate me
to wait for someone then have them change their mind.

And blame it on Aunt Flo, I'm sure things will turn around once she comes, it
always messes up my loss.

I did make it to the gym. I've never seen it so crowded. They were doing a
special promotion in conjunction with a radio station and the place was
packed. I had a good workout. It was hot as hades in there and I sweated
like a sprinkler. Thank goodness the sweat didn't burn this time.

As for cooking extra, my husband won't eat leftovers and our

fridge/freezer
section is too small to accomodate very much anyway. I tried cooking on
the once-month-and freeze plan once and neither one of us liked it very
well. It might have been the recipes I picked but DH makes his war-face
when I suggest trying it again.

I'm sorry, I'm sure your DH is a wonderful man, but I don't understand this.
Why won't some people eat leftovers? If he doesn't like what's being cooked,
he can always make dinner himself.

I just finished the last of my Black Bean Soup and as all soups and stews,
it tastes waaaay better two days after it's made than when it's just made.

Picky eaters...grrrrrr.....

Maybe I'm not that good of a cook :-) He does eat most things I cook
especially if it's spicy. I just try not to cook too much. Everything
worked out ok tonight. We went to the gym and I cooked after I cooled down
and had my shower.

Yeah, it's aggravating. When I look at the chart I'm keeping with my loss
data (when and how much) I find pretty much the same situation but I drop a
pound the day my period starts and then another one and maybe two when she
leaves. Then if I'm lucky maybe lose another pound in the next week and
then I'm stuck Forget losing two pounds a week, I've got to accept that
that's not going to happen.

FWIW, that's exactly my pattern, too. At least I'm not regaining the
weight, though. I figure this slow, slow slow loss is just training for
maitenance.

Hmmmm.. and I am only eating about 6x my weight per day.

You are probably at a small stall. Dec 29 to now is not that much time, I
think you are just worrying about it too much. I just ended a 3 week
stall... so I know how frustrating it can be. Rant all you want, but don't
be so hard on yourself.

That's how I feel. I haven't made any progress since December 29. I

tried
upping calories to 9x my weight for a week and gained 2 pounds. I dropped
back down to 8x and lost one of the pounds. I'm having the same problem
with hair falling out (thank God my hair's always been too thick) and a

bit
of pimples that Perple Girl is having. I tried doing more exercise and

got
what's effectively a chemical burn from the sweat on my face so I cut the
cardio back by a 1/3. I've been doing a bit of weight traing with 5 lb
dumbbells, (bicep curls, bent arm rows, overhead tricep extensions, a
shoulder exercise and a chest one), two sets of 12 reps and my arms and
shoulders feel like I tried to pull up a tree by its roots! Aunt Flo

should
have come on Sunday and she hasn't. My DH wants me to wait until he gets
off work and go work out with him. I'm afraid he'll come in and say, "The
kids were horrible. I'm exhausted. Cook for me, NOW." and I won't get to
work out at the gym today. (He's been teaching Earth Science at a junior
high, substituting for a lady who's on maternity leave so he's not used to
teaching full-time.) I suppose all I can do is hold on, do what I can,

and
trust that things will sort out OK. Thanks for reading this.

It doesn't happen for me, either. Apart from my first month of
dieting, I've never lost as much as 8 lbs. in a month. But I've lost
95 lbs. in 16 months. It adds up :-).
