Make him cook his own dinner then.... Cook for yourself and let him deal
with his own meal... don't put his dietary needs first!

That's how I feel. I haven't made any progress since December 29. I

problem
with hair falling out (thank God my hair's always been too thick) and a

bit
of pimples that Perple Girl is having. I tried doing more exercise and

got
what's effectively a chemical burn from the sweat on my face so I cut

the
cardio back by a 1/3. I've been doing a bit of weight traing with 5 lb
dumbbells, (bicep curls, bent arm rows, overhead tricep extensions, a
shoulder exercise and a chest one), two sets of 12 reps and my arms and
shoulders feel like I tried to pull up a tree by its roots! Aunt Flo

should
have come on Sunday and she hasn't. My DH wants me to wait until he

gets
off work and go work out with him. I'm afraid he'll come in and say,

"The
kids were horrible. I'm exhausted. Cook for me, NOW." and I won't get

to
work out at the gym today. (He's been teaching Earth Science at a

junior

Why are you only eating 9x your weight? Why aren't you eating at 10x?

When was the last time you just "took a break" and stopped dieting for
a while, especially since you are on such a low cal woe with the heavy
exercise.

As for suggestions on the cooking - What works for me is, I cook extra
food on the weekends and portion it out for the week. That way if
someone says "i want to eat NOW" its as easy as opening the fridge,
grabbing a container and putting it in the microwave and dinner is
ready in about 10 mins.

I gained weight at 10x and 9x, and found that I do lose at 8x. I switched
back to a more "balanced" diet and am not doing low carb just low calorie.
I think that my main problem at the moment is hormone-related. When Aunt
Flo comes and goes, I'll be back on track, I think/hope.

As for cooking extra, my husband won't eat leftovers and our

fridge/freezer
section is too small to accomodate very much anyway. I tried cooking on
the once-month-and freeze plan once and neither one of us liked it very
well. It might have been the recipes I picked but DH makes his war-face
when I suggest trying it again.

I am so glad that I married a man that cooks for me 90% of the time! He is
also very supportive of my WOE and he cooks/portions out food accordingly!

I'm sorry, I'm sure your DH is a wonderful man, but I don't understand

this.
Why won't some people eat leftovers? If he doesn't like what's being

cooked,
he can always make dinner himself.

I just finished the last of my Black Bean Soup and as all soups and

stews,
it tastes waaaay better two days after it's made than when it's just

made.

Picky eaters...grrrrrr.....

Martha

Maybe I'm not that good of a cook :-) He does eat most things I cook
especially if it's spicy. I just try not to cook too much. Everything
worked out ok tonight. We went to the gym and I cooked after I cooled

down
and had my shower.

You go!

My DH knows that it's either leftovers or he can cook his own dinner.

Hmmm... my body already produced excess androgens due to the PCOS... In your
opionion, do you think I should increase my calories to 7x my weight from
6x? I take aldactone now for the extra androgens that I have. It has
helped with the acne, etc....

I can tell you from personal experience that the hair/zits/monthly thing

may
be signs of an "androgen" reaction as my gyn calls it.

I'll discuss with dietician/nutritionist next week before I up it any
higher. My weight is still much higher then yours.... so 6x for me is
approx 1300 or so calories. 7x will be about 1500 calories. I can't
picture eating more! I posted what I ate today under a post by Alien... so
I don't feel like I am missing out on much. My stomach still gets full
quite easily since I did HMR for 4 mos....

Try the 7x for a while and if it doesn't work, then go back down to 6x.

I'm
no expert but I can tell you that with the level of exercise I'm doing, I
have no trouble losing weight on approx 10x right now. After tonight's
weigh in, I was told that if I lose this much in another week of 10x I'll

be
bumped up to 11x. The object for me is lose at max 2 lbs a week (avg)

since
more rapid loss may exacerbate some of the problems I'm having.

That's good! This time of year, think about making soups and stews, they're
easy and last a nice, long time.

Tonia, how many calories do you take in on a day? You have done well

and
I wished I was strong like you!! Hang in there.

glo

About 1575 calories. I'm a little below that today though. This is

what
I've had:

Item calories

2 slice ww toast 140
gumbo veggies 70
stuffed chicken breast 190
2 omega fish oil caps 20
1 cup soy milk 100
cookies & cream protein powder 120
pork, 220 g 320
millet, 1 cup 190
green beans 50
2 pieces sf dark chocolate 68
frozen mixed fruit 120

Add a 1 oz shot of Jack Daniels to that.

Tonia

Well, if that doesn't help things at least you won't give a damn for a
while.

Jenn
I miss my pals Jack, Jose, and the Captain

My DH knows that it's either leftovers or he can cook his own dinner. Him
cooking is about as likely as me becoming a famous swimsuit model.

I just used my vacuum sealer to stow away a few servings of venison chili
that were sitting in the kitchen freezer. We have a large freezer in the
basement that I use to store seasonal items.
