A recent spam for her website got me curious about her current status. SP
was the anti-fat voice of the 90's. At the time, I believed her, and I view
that as damage to my life.

Her website is back up from a crash. I find she says some things about
Atkins:

"And now... it's time..
Time to get back to work beyond the diaper pail...

Inspired by..atkins..and only atkins.

Yep, I looked up from the diaper pail and hear the word atkins."

I'm shocked by this. How profound that her view has apparently reversed 180
degrees. Atkins is not anti-fat.

I might also note that articles about her say that she is a rabid feminist,
who hates all men. Also, supposedly she was at one time a stripper
("topless dancer"). I guess selling herself could make a woman a hater of
men.

Maybe I'm unfair in my thoughts, but I have suspected that she used drugs to
maintain her weightloss. I'm not aware of any evidence; it is just a
guess. If true, it might help explain her hot personality.

I don't know how current her website photos are, but if they are new, she
looks damn good for 47.

One more SP quote:

"Eat dough, look like dough."

I only spent a short time looking at her and what she is trying to
sell, and my impression is that her target market are very stupid
women. I lost interest in her right after that.

I agree with all of this, although IMHO I've always though Susan
Powter looked like an unattractive version of Annie Lennox with her
short-cropped hair and all...

She hasn't changed her views - see second paragraph from bottom:

When I heard her last she seemed bitter. Ah well.

I don't blame her for the anti-fat crusade. She was just listening to what
the medical community was saying at the time. We all were fooled.

Well, that paragraph proves once and for all that she's a moron. Thanks.

I guess I was wrong. Her website must be quoting her out of context.
Presumably she was commenting on the Atkins media surge of a year or two
ago. Taken as they were presented, they sounded like pro-atkins words.

You just didn't read far enough on the site g

From her site:

Inspired by....atkins....and only atkins.

Yep, I looked up from the diaper pail and hear the word atkins...

And, obviously, that was that! I can watch a whole lot of nonsense with
Women, weight loss, and everything else connected to Woman for a long
time, and during the last six years I'm talking about everything as
insane as gastric bypass surgery...re-routing Our bodies for weight
loss????????????????????????? To diet pills for kids-there it is
solution? But, atkins? No. Not the high protein load of rot -
resurrected from the 70's dead.......no, no, no....

Indeed, I remember reading down to the gastric surgery part. I guess I
took it as a change of context and skipped away to her video samples.
