Default American Airlines - unbelievable!!!

I never thought of that one, good idea, Lee

Me responding to me...

I checked sample menus at the AA site and it looks like diabetic meals are
the closest to a healthy low-calorie meal, so I went and ordered that.

The vegetarian ones look good, but also look pretty high calorie - fried
falafel and so on!

I can't believe it in this day and age, but they said they discontinued

the
low-calorie meal option last year!

Unbelievable! What are they thinking?!

I always bring my own food on planes. I don't like to pay for a "meal"

that
I wouldn't normally eat. I know in the number of US airports I trekked
through this last year I was always able to find a salad with chicken on

it
and fruit somewhere in the terminal.

Doug, I can understand wanting to be faithful to your successful
weight-loss routine, but this is only one meal, yes? I don't see the
reason for panic because the airline didn't have a low-cal meal available.

I'm not panicked. I went for the diabetic meal in a very calm, reasoned
state of mind.

perhaps call again and ask if they have a kosher or Muslim choice or a
