In coin collecting the advice is "Read the book before you
buy the coin". In low carbing it's similar "Read the book
before you start the plan".

The deal is there are plenty of popular books out there
that tell about low carb plans. None of them tell you to
do simple and obvious stuff. The authors tried the simple
and obvious stuff, then worked a decade or more improving
on that. Their books are the result of that effort to do
better than the obvious. Read the book, follow the
directions, step out in faith at the points it tells you to do
stuff that isn't obvious.

Obesity. Knowing what it is like to be so big is beyond what most
people can comprehend. Most people think they are fat. But few people
really know what it is like.

I eat an average of 2 hotdogs an hour. I can't stop. Sometimes I wish
I would lose all my money so that this behavior wouldn't be possible.
That is the only way it will ever stop, I think.

My willpower is nonexistant. Every other day I make up my mind to
stop. For about five minutes, that is the longest I can go.

I wish I could leave my body behind.
