Default back on the wagon

I'm restarting after an 8 month hiatus, I recently moved form London
UK to Lagos Nigeria. The proliferation of starchy, porridgey, food as
well as the ubiquitiousness of rice dishes convinced me that I could
give up Atkins and just ‘watch what I ate'. This was despite the fact
that I had lost 30lbs on it from 185lbs to 155lbs
Fast forward to July 2003 and even though I'm exercising 3-4 times a
week and ‘trying not eat junk' I'm weighing in at 156lbs.
While my weight gain wasn't drastic, I realized that the only way to
reach my target weight of 135lbs would be to go back on Atkins.
Coming back on, I've lost 11lbs in month with a whoosh halfway
through.
Ironically though this has been without exercise as I was a bit off
healthwise (unrelated to WOE) and then I was being lazy. I restarted
last and it was gratifying to hear from gym buddies that despite my
absence, I was looking good

I'm going on Holiday (24th Oct) next month and I would really like to
lose another 5-8lbs before then.
Do I

a. Give up. It's an unrealistic aim
b. Go on a meat/fat fast
c. Try a reversal diet/fruit fast?
d. Obey whatever good advice you all have to dispense

Pls be gentle J
