Fat acceptance hero loses 70 pounds doing exactly what fatreje...
The experts can argue all they want about what constitutes "overweight"
and if being overweight is all that unhealthy. All I know is that I can bend over and tie my shoes now. When I used to try this, I became winded and exhausted. I used to run out of energy just waliking from the house to the car. Now I have energy to spare. For me, losing weight has been a real blessing. Roger |

If "overweight" and "obese" are defined strictly by BMI, then of course some people will be in those categories because they are more muscular, but not fat. But I wouldn't think that was the case for the majority of Americans. He also said that if obesity were such a problem, people would be dropping dead of it all over the place, but actually we have longer life spans than ever before. I would argue that we have better medical care for the illnesses caused by obesity, but if people stayed thin in the first place through healthy diet and exercise, then they wouldn't need that medical care to prolong their lives. -- Michelle Levin http://www.mindspring.com/~lunachick I have only 3 flaws. My first flaw is thinking that I only have 3 flaws. |
