Back from camping!
"Beverly" wrote in message
.. . Welcome back! Anyone who gained less than a pound on vacation shouldn't be one bit discouraged. If your sodium levels were higher you might see a slight loss in the next few days. I think the water weight is already starting to come off. It's good to be back into my old routines again! - Dewolla "Dewolla Stepon" wrote in message newsxxHc.47799$a24.23316@attbi_s03... I'm back from camping, and it was a fun trip. I did gain a little less than a pound but I'm not discouraged. I got in a lot of walking, I bought a pedometer and averaged over 10,000 steps a day. A lot of those were up and down hill, and at the 8,000 foot level. Last time I was camping was 70+ pounds ago, and there is a big difference in a lot of things. For one, it used to be difficult for me to get dressed inside the tent and make my way out the door. It's no problem now. I also used to "run hot" and be overheated all the time, even to the point where I would steam up the car's windows in the mornings (and not from passion). Not anymore. I kept to my prepackaged meals, but next time I'll include fresh veggies and some milk servings. I also think the sodium levels in my choices were way higher than what I'm used to. Anyway, it's good to be back. -- Dewolla Stepon 268/199.9/199 - Phase 1 199/199.9/175 - Phase 2 154 at age 28 285 at age 53 |

Not anymore. This reminds me of something I've been observing this summer. I always used to really hate the heat. (And in Virginia, there's plenty of it. It gets up to around 90 almost every day :-).) I could never have imagined taking long noonday walks in the summer months. Now I actually enjoy the feel of the sun on my body, and don't mind walking in the heat. I am really liking summer for the first time since I can remember! I noticed that, too! I couldn't believe myself, actually picking out a sunny spot to sit and soak up the sun a few weeks back. I've never done that before. - Dewolla |

Back from camping!
Being from Texas all my life we fight the heat constantly, but since my
weight loss (about 90 lbs give or take a few) since just last summer, I realize I am handling the heat FAR better than I ever have. I really enjoy getting outside these days. Back from camping!
Yes, amazing, isn't it? The weight crept up on me so insidiously that I was
unaware of just how debilitating it was. I'm a little over 85 pounds down from my highest, as well. It sure is nice to be able to get out and enjoy life again! - Dewolla "susanjoneslewis" wrote in message m...
