hehehe - sounds like Roxio Easy Creator isn't so easy. g I was looking at the
possibility of buying a different dvd creater, reviews of roxio weren't so good
(other than price). I opted to stick with the one that came standard on my
computer. So far, it hasn't caused any problems.

It ain't easy. I am pretty irritated (clean up for public
consumption!) If I have a free hour or two to spend on hold I might
give them a call and complain big time.

Maybe I should have gone to the mountains but yesterday the pass was
closed for about 3 hours or more with folks trapped in their cars by
avalanche control work. More than 20 inches fell. Two folks appear
to have been killed in separate avalanches near Mt Baker (closer to
you) and down along I-90. Both were snowshoers. And the weather
yesterday was awful down here.

Sounds to me like you were wiser in choosing to stay away from those mountains
yesterday. They'll still be there next weekend. Sorry to hear about the
avalanches and possible loss of lives, that is always so sad ... more so with the
holidays upon us.

It is sad. Both places are beautiful in the right conditions. I've
snowshoed to where one woman is still missing.

Right now it is chilly, about 40F but the sun is shining so far. More
showers expected. I will try bike riding if it warms a bit or even if
it does not.

Chilly? I'm thinkin' heat wave ... we've been sitting right at 17 degrees for the
past few days. It did get up to 34 at one point yesterday, just long enough to
dump a little snow on the ground and make driving very nasty. Cold, cold, cold
again today. I'm sticking closer to home today for a change, only need to run out
to a food service store to pick up fruit/veggies/trays and get something made for
the staff at the nursing home.

Well, at 17F, I don't really consider bike riding except if the cabin
fever gets real bad. It was chilly especially into the wind. But
your conditions sound really awful. The 3 years I lived in Chicago it
only got bad once or twice.

Limes are purchased and shrimp is the dinner of choice (G)

mmmmmmmmmm, and what time will dinner be served? I am awfully tired of pizza,
chinese and quick grab sandwiches.

5-6 my time. Come on over if you can get to the airport.....

Reorganizing the basement can be a huge job. Eeewww, Roxio can be a real
pain in the butt, good luck with it.

Well, I got exercise. Each time I rebooted the computer I headed back
down the two flights of steps, moved, stowed and climbed back up the
two flights..... ROXIO is on my xxxx list.

I heard about the avanches this morning. It sounds pretty bad out there.
Maybe it's a good thing you decided to stay home and work in the basement!

Either not enough snow or too much. I think they blew today's
forecast. While it snowed this morning I don't think much more fell
during the day but more is expected tonight and through Weds.

Right now it is chilly, about 40F but the sun is shining so far. More

It's beautiful here right now, some blue sky poking through the ugly clouds.
Still don't feel much like going anywhere though. Think I'll just hang
around the house. I have a date with my son at 3:00 to watch Bob the
Builder's Christmas Special. I'm going to cuddle up to my son with a bowl
of popcorn for us!

Sounds like you have the right idea. We missed the sun's brief
appearance but did the ride anyway.

Mmmm.... sounds really good, want company? I've been too busy to cook for
the last few nights and we've ordered in chinese two nights this past week.
Tonight I'm cooking a small pork loin. Nothing special, still feel kind of
lazy after my busy day yesterday.

Nicholas thoroughly enjoyed Bob the Builder and the popcorn. I was so comfy
I felt like nodding off to sleep, but didn't. We ended up with out of town
company around 4:00 for an hour or so, nice to see family for a quick visit,
but glad they didn't stay too long. They have two kids that are way more
troublesome than mine!

Congrats on yet another more than successful week! Looks like you and Lesanne are
really getting into this friendly competition thing. G

I do have to agree with your sister, based on my own observances with my weight
goals. I thought 150 would make me happy ... then needed the cushion with my
personal goal of 140 ... which resulted in another cushion to be able to keep the
140 cushion, so 135 it was. Now I'm working on a cushion for 135 and have begun
to see there could be no end to this logic. I have no idea why, but last week the
number 125 jumped into my head. I've quickly slapped it away ... but
..............

Time for me to stop over analyzing things. G

by the way has never had a weight problem other than being UNDER most

clothing cushion. She suggested as some of us have discussed then you
will not want to move much from there and will try being just a bit
lower to keep 155 and so on and so forth and ...... Which is what
I've been thinking. So what does it mean. I have no idea (g)

I'm beginning to think *no* to the temperature adjustment question. I stated my
concerns to my doctor last year, he laughed at me and told me to give it some time
for my body to adjust to the lesser weight. Well, it's been 10 months now and I'm
still freezing! I am currently sitting in my jeans, t-shirt, heavy sweater AND
bathrobe ... house toasty warm at 72. But not me. On the plus side, the 95+ days
of the summer didn't bother me at all. g

Yes, I am waiting for the power failure - not really - that is one
aspect of being thinner - I am running colder. I probably should rev
up the metabolism by doing weights for the upper body.

That's the one nice thing about the low temps ... they don't last long, and when

The winds picked up this afternoon, making it feel a bit on the biting side again.
I tend to look on the positive side, was talking to my son about this today. In a

winter. And so far we haven't had any really nasty weather. Time really does

Roads weren't too bad, just slick from the dusting of snow. I do think that
inches is much easier to drive in than the slick wet blowing little amounts that
come down. And we all know that everyone forgets how to drive in this stuff,
which makes the matter worse. I could have got to the airport, was just too tired
to do so. So I opted for lean pork, brussel sprouts and baked sweet potato
instead. It was yummy, but not quite as exotic as your tequila shrimp.

Only on their Support forum where others users are also complaining
but with no official response from them. If I have time tomorrow
before WW, I may try sitting on hold for a while. But from what I
gather, they will not do much. They will probably say it was
something odd that Dell did to set up the partition altho, others with
Linux partitions and other operating systems are having similar

Yes - that is exactly what she was suggesting - where will I find the
final cushion if I want to keep the "above cushion."

I think 155-160 will be it. And tomorrow should be closer to the 160,
I fear.

Current weight: 156.6 (heavier clothing 158.2)

But I will mention my sister's take on this minimum weight issue (she,
by the way has never had a weight problem other than being UNDER most
of her life!!!). I mentioned getting to 155 to have a sufficient
clothing cushion. She suggested as some of us have discussed then you
will not want to move much from there and will try being just a bit
lower to keep 155 and so on and so forth and ...... Which is what
I've been thinking. So what does it mean. I have no idea (g)

(aside: don't eat your heart out Lesanne, you cannot afford the points
