Default GOOD LUCK on Halloween!

Just wanted to wish all the low-carbers lots of luck in making and
sticking to an eating plan today!

That plan might, or might not, include a limited number of carb treats.
As long as you make the plan in advance and stick to it, that's all that
matters.

I started this morning with a planned treat -- a tiny crispy Macoun
apple (size of a small plum) -- cute and just delicious. It was too
small to put in one of the kids' lunch bags, so I had been saving it
just for me.

Watch out for witches and goblins and other creepies tonight. :-) And
have fun.

LOL.. I make sure I don't buy any chocolate to give out.. or anything else I
even slightly like. That way I don't want to eat the leftovers. My kids were
at parties last night and will be allowed some limited trick or treating
tonight but they know they will have to put their bags up when they get home
after they pick out a couple pieces to have. I keep hoping if we stress
*limitations* and *careful treating* they won't have binge problems and
problems with carbs as they get older. So far they don't mind me cooking low
carb and they have loved all the sugar free low carb treats we occasionally
make. They even help me when I take them shopping by reading labels and
making suggestions. I hope I am giving them a good basis for the rest of
their lives when it comes to making healthy choices.

I think I'm going to be okay. I have not bought any of the things
I would find most tempting. (I almost bought Twizzlers, which I
hate, but I couldn't sink so low.) It also occurs to me that it
might be wise not to eat anything that could trigger any
cravings--cravings plus the proximity of candy might not be a
great thing....

I'm going to be fine. Candy isn't tempting to me on regular days, so
why should Halloween be any different

Default GOOD LUCK on Halloween!

Last year we just turned our lights off...I don't
remember what I was going through at the time,
but I do remember just asking Wayne if we could
forgo Halloween and he agreed to.

The year prior we bought only stuff I didn't
like, and LESS than normal, toward the last hour,
I gave HUGE handfuls out, and the last kid got
the whole bowl dumped in their sacs and the
lights went off (whether or not it was time)...I
had also bought an endulge bar for "me" if it got
bad and I couldn't stand the "SMELL" (Wayne
munching on the stuff too)

no leftovers....

This year will be different....we have Erin, my step
daughter (halloween is on friday and that is "our" day to
have her)......and we will not only have to give
out treats, but she will be trick or treating and
have a load when she comes home. Mom won't let
her take them home w/her (she has tons of junk there,
doesn't want "more")...she will keep them
here.....

So outta sight, outta mind is the plan....and I
will have something for "me" (I have a 3pk of Endulge
peanut butter cups).... if the smell of
chocolate gets to be too much for me......
