Default Food & Exercise -- 12/23/2004

Today we headed down to North Carolina to spend Christmas with my mom.
(I'm writing from the hotel room.) We drove until around 3:00, hung
around at her place for a while, then went out to a seafood restaurant.
This is the first of four days of fairly indulgent eating :-).

Food:

* 8:00 (driving): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake
* 9:15 (driving): 1 deviled egg (made with f/f mayo, so pretty much
just an egg)
* 10:15 (driving): another deviled egg
* 11:15 (country-style restaurant): 6 fried oysters; 1/3 cup
applesauce; 1/3 cup green beans
* 2:30 (driving): 2/3 cup red grapes
* 3:30 -- 5:30 (Mom's apartment): 4 oz. wine; 3/4 oz. havarti cheese;
3/4 oz. mixed nuts; two pieces of peanut brittle; 1 bite-sized
chocolate candy
* 6:45 (restaurant): 4 oz. wine; 3 hushpuppies; 5 oz. grilled blackened
salmon; 1 cup mixed steamed veggies

Totals: 1910 calories (172 from wine), 84g fat (39%), 136g carbs (29%),
110g protein (23%)

Exercise: none

Hmmm, I take it hushpuppies aren't shoes in this context......

I believe these are a southern dish. At least that's where I first ate
them.
