I was tired when I typed that. Instead of going to fast food restaurants, I
tend to buy stuff at supermarkets and then take it someplace to eat it. I'm
constantly on the go, which means that even though I can cook, I usually
don't have the time to do so.

I understand what you mean now. Back when I was taking some computer
course the *school* was located in a strip mall with a supermarket at
one end. I used to go in there before lunch and buy 2 precooked
chicken breasts from the deli and a salad I made up myself from the
items in the salad bar. The whole thing cost around $3.00 a day and
was a lot easier then making my lunch every evening when I was tired
and just wanted to relax. I also did not have to carry food
containers back and forth from school along with my books and I had a
hot meal I could eat at school in the student's kitchenette every day.

Even now when I go down to my gym I will sometimes stop off at the
nearby supermarket and pick up some roast beef and a small chunk of
cheese from the deli.
With a half hour bus ride back up Hamilton mountain towards home I can
sit on the bus and roll them up and eat them on the bus before getting
home. Then when I get home I'm not hungry after my workout and I can
crash for a couple of hours before my boys get home.

(good catch on your part)

I don't miss much. :-)

Clever, well thought out and executed plan! Well done, "Ms. Jaime"!

You've demonstrated exactly the type of "can do" attitude that most of us
reading here need.

Best regards,
DustyB

I think you are confusing my posts with someone's elses.

I never wrote that.

Don't underestimate the Cave-people. They knew about preserving food by
drying it. They could have had dried fruit leathers in the winter, for
example.

Our primitive forebears were very clever, hard-working, and
resourceful. They probably stayed thin by working hard for everything
that they ever got.

Hunter-gathering cultures typically have the most leisure time and
spend the *least* amount of time on survival needs of any type of
human culture, including our own!

Agriculture based societies, that's hard work (and lots of it).
