Dally, if you want to really rev up your metabolism, you can become a
hummingbird. Then you could eat 1.5-3 times your weight in food per
day!

Contrary to what my friends IRL think, I'm not actually using magic to
improve my metabolism.

I drink a lot of water

I get enough sleep

I do weight-training three times a week

I do cardio two or three times a week where one of those times tends to
be a high intensity interval training session.

I eat a balanced diet (aiming for 45/30/25 carb/protein/fat where the
fats come from EFAs (I just finished eating lox on 1/2 a whole wheat
bagel for lunch, for example.)

Last night I was trying on an order of clothes from Title 9 sportswear.
I absolutely cannot believe it, but I found a pair of running shorts
I'd be willing to be seen in public in. The shelf at the back of my
butt is gone, my thighs (though still horribly disfigured by massive
cellulite) are more drum-stick shapped with actual evidence of quad
muscles and the waist-band lands an actual waist. I think I've come a
long ways towards improving my metabolism without becoming a bird.

Maybe this explains why people rarely see hummers when they aren't
eating. In order to gather enough nectar, hummingbirds must visit
hundreds of flowers every day. And just one day of cold temperatures
or bad luck finding flowers can mean death. Hummingbirds press the
limits, and live their lives only a few hours from starvation.

We had some frozen days a couple weeks ago. My mom thawed out the
hummingbird feeder and put it back out. I got some great shots of a
hummingbird feeding while it was snowing. I don't think people realize
they are still around, and it has to be extemely tough for them in
freezing temps.

I highly recommend running shorts with the undies built in.

I love Title 9! They're from the Bay Area.

I like the running shorts by Head. They have the self colored liner and
stuff and they are long enough to be comfy. Unfortunately, our Sports
Authority just closed and Dick's is all that's left. I haven't been too
impressed with the selection of women's clothing at Dick's. (Uh, we
aren't all soccer players or cheerleaders...) I agree with Dally, I
love the stuff in Title 9. It looks so cool. I have not ordered from
them (yet) though.

Moving Comfort (I have some stuff by them and I like it a lot)

I couldn'd find a link to the Head (yes, the tennis company) running
shorts that I like so well.

Um, whose joke are you quoting? (I recall seeing it and thinking, "but
I charged the shorts on mastercard!)

Dally, still a bit peeved at top-posters

I didn't write that joke, ignoramous did. I was just laughing at it, because
after the day I've had (car accident this morning), I'm willing to laugh at
anything right now.
