Sounds yummy. I love good chili. Try adding some cumin next time. Unless the
chili seasoning you are using already contains cumin.

Sounds great. I think Pinto beans are a better choice in chili than
kidney beans though. Try em!

Also, a little fresh crushed garlic also will put this one over the top!

What I'd do:

Forget about the water, which adds nothing to the flavour, and use some red
wine or a dark beer instead for additional richness.

Add garlic, paprika, cumin, and some more fresh chili peppers, and lose the
the ready-mixed seasoning. Not sure sugar is necessary either.

Forget about the tomato paste and canned tomatoes. Instead, use a
combination of diced and blended fresh tomatoes.

And put some sour cream on top of it after serving, in a neat swirly effect.

****, I'm hungry now.

No beans in chili.
No tomatoes in chili.
No sugar in chili.

Other than that, it looks great.

Among my crowd, 'chili' is a euphemism for sex. I think it started when the
then-cutest couple talked a lot about how they liked their chili made
differently. Anyway, it makes this message more fun.

I make chili out of ground meat and chili powder. Turns out very
good. That's also good to make out of cooked meat that is not yet
spoiled, but not anymore attractive for eating as is. Grinding it and
making "chili" out of it is a good way to use that meat.

Skip the beans and add some diced Big Jim or Cubano peppers. Add some Adobo
seasoning(in the ethnic food aisle @ the store), chopped FRESH cilantro, &
chili powder to the ground turkey while cooking it. Change the sugar to
brown sugar and call me when it's ready!!!

Wife got me into the 'beanless' chili because she hates beans. Actually it
cuts down on calories a bit to do it that way... I should enter a chili
cook-off sometime - always wanted to...

Found myself trying different spices & sauces to liven up my meals since on
my WOE/WOL. I get into some 'exotic' tastes at the local Mercado (mexican
grocery) & the Asian grocery. That's how I found out about Adobo (from the
Mercado) & about sweet chili sauce & Jasmine tea(@ the Asian grocery). Iced
unsweetened Jasmine tea is to die for!
