I agree with you there, although I have a weakness for Windle Poons. Often I find that I identify with the characters: I'd like to *be* Granny Weatherwax or Susan Sto Helit; I recognize myself in Agnes Nitt (and can't say I like it very much); and I suspect I am going to end up as Nanny Ogg.
