Default Nutritional Supplements?

It is advised that Atkins people take a supplement, especially while on
induction. My friend that did it didn't take any and when I asked him if I
should he said you can if you want, but I didn't. Do you advise that I do
and if so, what do I take? If you can be specific I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

"We recommend a trio of supplements that include Basic #3 Formula (which
includes more than 30 key vitamins and minerals), Essential Oils Formula
(omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids) and Dieters' Advantage (HCA, for appetite
management, and chromium to help regulate blood sugar"

I take Basic # 3 formula and Essential Oils Formula ... I get them at the
Walmart Superstore for a very reasonable price.

if you want to take a supplement, just take a daily multi without iron.

if you don't want to, you don't have to. i personally prefer to take
one. i honestly don't know how big a difference it makes in terms of
weight loss (or anything else for that matter), but i still take it.

I strongly feel that this is a YMMV issue. I take a fistful of supplements
that, over the past 3 years, I've gradually tailored to my individual needs:

* Since I have a family history of high cholesterol and heart attacks (and
had a stroke myself) , I take flax seed oil, garlic, niacin (also improves
fat metabolism and decreased insulin resistance), selenium, plenty of
vitamin C and green tea extract.

* Because I tend to get exzema I take vitamins E and A.

* I take a potent "B" complex to help improve metabolism and circulation as
well as for healthy skin

* Zinc is another of my supplements with multiple benefits; it lowers
insulin resistance, boosts the immune system and helps prevent exzema

* I take Grape Seed Extract to increase hdl, lower ldl cholesterol and
triglycerides, increase circulation, lower blood pressure and improve night
vision

* Magnesium helps lower my blood pressure and has an amazing relaxing effect
on residual muscle spasticity from my stroke

* I take Chromium Picolinate to Reduce insulin resistance, Promote weight
loss and improve fat metabolism

* A daily 80mg aspirin to prevent blood clotting/heart attack/stroke

* Last but not least, I take Co-enzyme Q10 (CoQ10) which mproves metabolic
processes, boosts the immune system, is a powerful anti-oxidant, and is
necessary overall for heart and vascular health.

I have been on this exact regimen for about 3 months now, and very
honestly -- I feel better than I have in *years!* Something is working, or
maybe it's the combination? I have also been able (with Dr.'s approval) to
get off of a blood pressure medication I had been taking for years. Between
the nutritional supplements and my weight loss, life is good.

I believe that each of us needs to find what works for him or her, depending
on individual need and circumstances.
