Well, I don't know how many noses you have, but assuming you have the
normal allocation of one and are referring to one nostril, I have
never in my entire life had any cold that didn't start off solely in
one nostril and then spread to the other one a day or two later.

I used to think this happened to everyone, but on talking to people I
realise it's quite unusual. But anyway, you're not alone!
