Food & Exercise -- 10/14/2003 (yesterday)
Food:
9:15 (home): 3/4 cup Hi-Lo Cereal, 16g whey protein, 3/4 cup skim milk 12:00 (office cafeteria): sandwich w/ 2 slices whole wheat bread, 2 oz roast turkey, lettuce, tomato, mustard 2:00 (work): f/f peach yogurt 5:30 (post workout): energy bar 6:30 (German restaurant): 1 piece olive bread; tomato & mozzarella salad; 1 weisswurst (veal sausage) w/ lettuce & tomato 7:30 (German wine tasting): 10 oz wine; 1 piece French bread; 2 oz. cheese; 1/2 cup grapes Totals: 1863 calories (214 from wine), 57g fat (28%), 169g carbs (36%), 125g protein (27%) 3:00 -- Exercise: A few sets each of lateral raises, front raises, and overhead presses with elastic band Bench: 2x10x45; 1x10x65; 3x10x85 Jumping rope: about 6 times jumping for 30 seconds -- didn't always make it without missing -- still learning to do this right Playing with something called a Bosu ball -- kind of like the top half of a Swiss ball on a flat base: a) 10 squats standing on ball -- stepped off a couple of times -- fun :-) b) jumping onto and off the ball to either side in various patterns c) doing the same thing but turning 180 degrees while in the air -- i.e., jump from one side of ball, bounce off top, then land on opposite side so that you're facing the ball -- also fun Lying triceps extensions w/ 35 lb EZ-curl bar: 1x12 Triceps pressdowns: 1x12 w/ 4 plates (shoulder was pretty sore by this time) Cardio: 1 mile run -- cut 14 seconds off my previous best mile time Chris 262/177/??? |

I still get confused when I see dates like that. Us Europeans do it
differently. I'm not saying that either way is right or wrong, but every time I see something like '10/14/2003' I think 'The tenth of the FOURTEENTH MONTH???'
