Default i was so good yesterday

lunch: haru haru crunch dragon sushi with miso soup. (ingredients: rice,
avocados, chopped up bits of shrimp tempura, imitation crab stuff, spicy
tuna pate.) probably a good 6 to 7 hundred calories for the 8 or 9
pieces. But it's worth it.

dinner: went to subways, and got a chicken caesar salad with honey
mustard dressing. ate all the grilled chicken and spinach and threw out
the rest.

and now to the part where i was SO freaking good. i got a tastee freeze
sundae. (whipped cream, cherry, fudge, the WORKS!) I WAS READY to feel
bad about this little excursion all night -- but the first chance i got,
i gave it to a co-worker because he was having a bad day. He was all
happy (he thought i got it for him, lol).

i highly doubt the sushi was 6-7 hundred calories. it's probably more like 400.

but they were sooo good
and the avocado and the fake crabmeat mixture seemed very fattening --
and these were huge rolls.

i'll compromise and say they're 500, then.

well, i guess it could be 600. the most i've seen a 4-piece serving be (on
nutrition fact charts) is 300, so add half of that and six pieces would be 450.
but if they really were *huge,* then maybe 600. i don't have much sushi
experience.

It really depends on what's in it and how it was prepared. I just read a
little blurb in Shape magazine (at the gym while on the stairmaster) about
"7 Ways Chefs Sabotage Your Diet" or something like that and they mention
that sometimes there's things like mayonnaise in some California rolls.
Obviously ones with cream cheese are higher in calories and fat also.
Avocados are a bit calorie dense but really healthy (good fats). Fake
crabmeat isn't really all that bad since it's just made from chopped fish.

I just located the article on line he

I like fake crabmeat, but I was surprised when I first started all
this calorie counting stuff to find that it is about half carbohydrate
and half protein. I'm not someone who thinks carbs are evil, but
there's not as much protein as I would wish.

Some kinds of fillers I guess to make it cheaply. We don't eat it but next
time I'm shopping I'll check the ingredient list on the package.
