Let me be your diet pill guinea pig
You might want to watch this site for testing weight loss supplements.
http://www.dietpillguineapig.com It's a new site, but there will be updates. I am curious as to how a real person deals with different diet pills. |

I second princess' reply: really really try and avoid turning to supplements and pills and whatnot for weight loss. Personally, I don't know anybody that has ever used these supplements, but the knowledge of years of biology and chemistry courses has taught me that the body does NOT like it when you change your internal chemical state. One tiny little change, like a few mg of X every day, can ripple through the delicate homeostasis of the body and have very severe effects To my knowledge, most pills are natural hormones or derivatives thereof that encourage the burning of fat. And as far as hormones go, you don't have to look farther than the side effects of birth control, anabolic steroids, and (I believe) even some psychiatric pharmecuticals. Weight loss is a HUGE change, and one your body won't like much to begin with. You might want to be really sure that the added effect of medicines doesn't make it even harder on your body. Not to mention, if you do lose weight via a pill, I would imagine it'd be a lot harder to avoid gaining it back, because you'll think to yourself, "well I can always just buy X again" Still, if you're entirely fixed on the idea of becoming a living instrument of research, seek professional advice. A LOT of it, too. And try to play down the constant shifting between drugs. You're going to want to take a nice break between pills to let your body readjust itself before you go pumping it full of heavy medication again. Mixing and matching pharmecuticals of different varieties is a recipe for disaster; a lot of people have serious health complications (including death) from doing just that. So, do us all a favor and rethink your move here. Even if you decide to continue on, play it safe and talk to a doctor often. No sense losing weight just to become a vegetable in ICU. |
