Default My weird dinner

My eating is so weird lately, since I quit smoking. I want to eat all the
time and I've been chewing gum instead to keep my mouth occupied. When I
do eat, I don't want to cook and I only want finger foods, lol. So here
was dinner tonight:

Two string cheese sticks
Seven slices of pepperoni
Nine jumbo black olives
1/4 cup raw almonds

Total Calories: 486
Total Carbs: 11g
Fiber: 6g

So, aside from being a bit on the high side, calorie-wise, I think I did
ok. I did have a more veggie-heavy meal earlier today, so it all evens
out.

When I quit smoking three years ago, I was the same way. So I ate a lot of
ice. I'd take ice cubes, crack them up and sprinkle on a little salt. For
some reason, this satisfied the hand/mouth constant need, while not adding a
lot of calories.

That's not weird...

I call it a "grazing" dinner. With my work schedule sometimes I come
home at 8:00p and don't want to cook or eat a real meal, so I graze a
bunch of low carb things.

Oh my goodness! I've been chewing on ice too. I put a chunk in my mouth
and wrap my sugarless gum around it with my tongue and then crunch it. Fun!

You know what's funny, Luna...eating only finger foods involves bringing
your bare hand up to your face - no fork or knife. A lot like smoking! LOL
You're doing a good job with combating the urge to smoke, while still
satisfying your hand-to-mouth habit!

Keep up the good work

Exacterly. Not doing such a great job at not gaining any weight back
though. I'm doing more exercise, but it's not enough to balance out the
extra eating. Even though I'm sticking with low-carb foods, I still
managed to gain 2 pounds in 2 weeks, which sucks.

Oh well. I expected this would probably happen during the first few weeks.
I'm hoping my appetite will calm down soon and I'll be able to start losing
again.
