Default food and exercise 27/08/04

I'm posting even though I have nothing to post. I didn't do horrible but I
also didn't write it down. No exercise because of humidity. Lots of water
because of humidity. I'm still very tired. It may be because of the
weather or it could be because of the food (not enough fruits and veggies,
too much meat). It could also be because I've been having restless sleeps
or perhaps coming down from the meds. I'm not sure. I do know one thing
for sure though. It's not going to get better unless I force myself to
exercise. It's such a paradox isn't it? You have to exercise to get energy
but you almost need energy to exercise.

Anyhow. Today is a new day and I will try to do better. That's all I can
hope to do. I don't think I'll get exercise in because of the weather.
It's still humid, not so much hot, but it's hard on my lungs.

"You don't want to lose what you've worked for"

Years ago I learned that when you least want to do something is likely when
you need to do it the most. I try to apply this to everyday things.
When I don't feel like moving, I likely need to more than usual then. When I
don't want to drink water is prolly the most important time for me to do so,
and so on. I'm a recovering alcoholic as well (12years sober in Sept) and I
*still* go to AA when I need it and especially when I don't think I need it.
Especially then. I can't emphasize in text enough to you how important it is
to recognize when your trying to bull**** yourself(not implying you are)
Humans are the best liars, rationalizers, justifiers. We lie to ourselves
far more easily then we would to a perfect stranger. So, next time you say
"it's too hot and its hard on my lungs.." or something like that, check
yourself. You may be using that same ole ****ty thinking that got you where
you are now.

Again, not trying to imply anything or insult you Cp, you've done a terrific
job so far on your journey but there are times when we ALL lie to ourselves,
just to get outta doing something that requires extra effort. Learning to
recognize and address those things right then and there has been one of the
key motivators for me and I attribute alot of my weightloss success to it.

Just some thoughts, YMMV
