calories do count
Humans seem to be designed to oppose a program of caloric restriction. I
suppose it is an evolutionary survival thing. However, if one understands this, and has the time to do accurate food journaling, weight control is possible. Use computer software to calculate an estimate of your caloric consumption. I used an Atkins-like approach to make caloric management easier. However, the calories are the bottom line. Many say that calorie counting fails. It is not the calorie counting that fails, it is the human that abandons the effort, in response to innate survival drives. The dieters fail, not the diet. http://www.fitday.com This link is to a service that can help. I have no connection to them except as a download customer. There are several computer programs out there that can make calorie monitoring feasible. |
