If you don't succeed, you may be frustrated, and your frustration will make you eat even more, and you'll be saying, "DIETS DON'T WORK!!!". What's so special about May 19, anyway? The beach opens? |

I'm going on a trip on May 19 to see some friends. I just want to look
my best. I need to develop a maintainance plan of course. 20 pounds is just a goal. If I lose less than 20 pounds, that will be OK too. By the way, I applaud your setting a kind of goal. I think we all do it continuously to help focus ourself. If I told someone, I'll get you that information when I feel like it, it might never get turned in. On the other hand, if I said, I'll get it to you by next Monday, then there is a very good chance it will get turned in. Oops! That reminds me of the material I have to get in by tomorrow! Deadlines can be useful for so many different things and they are required in many circumstances, and if you don't exactly make them, you will have the joy of knowing that you're a bit closer to your goals!
