Default My blood tests say it all!

I just got back from my doctor's office. This is the first blood work
I've had done since starting LC.

Pre-LC non-Zocor cholesterol: 238 (5+ years ago)
Non-LC with Zocor: 185-189 (Pre-LC average over the past 5 years)
LC with Zocor: 162 Woo Hoo!!!! (Last week)
LDL: 97
HDL: 54
Trigycerides: 78

2 hour fasting blood sugar: 111
12 hour fasting blood sugar: 92

This is the best blood test I've ever had! My doctor is all for a
"modified" Adkins approach. From what I gather when asking him to
clarify, I assume that he means OWL & pre-maintenance levels of carbs.
His worry is people not understanding what LC means, and trying to
"eliminate" carbs, which is, indeed, not a good idea.

The best part of my visit was his nurse. This lady has been his nurse
for 15 years and she's lost 30 lbs. this year on LC.

You just can't argue with the proof!!!

Great news, Coff! Glad to hear that your doc is approving, too!

How is your relationship with saturated fat?

You just can't argue with the proof!!!

As a non native english speaker I have to ask if you do not mean
evidence instead of proof?

Not good. I was tired. It had been a long day. Words were
exchanged, allegations thrown about, and I stormed out. We haven't
talked since.

It appears to be to be a distinction without a difference.

Sloppy. But standards have been going downhill for centuries now.

Congratulations on your good numbers.

Everything starts somewhere, though many physicists disagree. But
people have always been dimly aware of the problem with the start of
things. They wonder how the snowplough driver gets to work, or how the
makers of dictionaries look up the spellings of words. {Hogfather,

Did you achieve your numbers being watchful of sat fat, or did you eat
plenty.

I log my eating in fitday.com. Here is the breakdown for the past month:

AVERAGES:

Total: 1051

source grams cal % total
Fat: 76 687 66%
Sat: 24 212 21%
Poly: 15 135 13%
Mono: 32 288 28%
Carbs: 15 35 3%
Fiber: 6 0 0% (I take psyllium daily that I don't log)
Protein: 78 312 30%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

Hope this helps.
