Good News Bad News
Oh my goodness - what a week you've had. I mean the weight loss is great
(go you!), but the rest Healing thoughts to your ex-husband, and also to your kids (and you) to help you get through what is going to be a very difficult time for you all. I totally relate to what you said about the life/weight thing. I have the same problem with smoking - which I've almost given up. It's the same thing - there's always an excuse to carry on now, and quit later - when life is less stressful, or whatever. And that's all rubbish, cos you can always find an excuse - what you have to do is stop making excuses....... -- krys UK 157/137.4/126 Started March 1st 2001 GOAL August 16th 2001 struggling now....... "Billie Severy" wrote in message ... Hi Everyone, The Good News is that I had a great first week back in the fold and lost 3.3 which is an amazing amount for me. I usually lose about .5 lb. Thanks to all of you who posted and gave me encouragement.....I know that was what made my comeback so successful! The bad news is that my kids and I just found out that my ex-husband has cancer and we are devastated! I am trying to help him get treatment and help the kids cope at the same time getting through it myself. And I have to be careful not to overdo because of my own illness. My weight loss journey seems unimportant at the moment because of this new concern, and I also feel like LIFE keeps getting in the way of my focusing on it. Latey, the broken ankle, the flu, and now to top it all THIS! It's easy to use life's problems as a reason to overeat and not exercise. However one thing I have learned after a lifetime of weight "control" is that if you wait for life to be unstressful to begin a healthy eating and exercise regime you might as well FORGET IT. Life has it's ups and downs and one has to get through..........I intend to try to stick to the plan and not get off course, as hard as that sounds to me at the moment. My ignoring my health is not going to help anyone and I am betting that I will be less depressed when the smoke clears, if I have lost instead of gained. That said, I am now rushing to exercise off the 3 chocolate cookies I ate, before I gave myself this pep talk. Thanks again for being here! Billie 207/167.7/141 |

Good News Bad News
Congrats on your wonderful 3.3 pound whoosh, Billie. And I'm so sorry to
hear of your ex-husband. These days it seems like SO many great people I know are stricken with this horrible disease. Hopefully they caught it soon enough and he will soon be in remission. I'm keeping him and your family in my thoughts and prayers... -- ~Kristin O~ 272/238/172 Here's our FAQ: http://www.didian.com/asdww/ and welcome notice: http://www.geocities.com/welcomenotice/index.html "Billie Severy" wrote in message ...
