Mt Olive LC Bread/Butter Pickles and Relish
Just found these at the A&P here in NJ. Tried the pickles and they
are very good, hard to tell from the real thing. Only 1g carb per 6 chips. I love these with tuna salad, I also add some of the liquid to the tuna salad. I'm sure the relish will be good too. Still haven't seen the Heinz Ketchup anywhere here. |

I greatly enjoy it....just a little here and there.... |

I haven't been able to find the pickles anywhere here in AZ. I have been looking for the ketchup and just yesterday found it at Super Walmart. |

B&G Dill Pickles have 0g, 0 calories which means at most about .15 or .25 carbs per spear/pickle. Looks like there isn't any sugar added. Whose talking about dill pickles? The Mt Olive ones are bread and butter, which until now, meant loads of sugar. ALso recognize that the brine it soaks in often has sugars added and of course spices which have some carbs. I always loved cooking with pickle juices--they taste sweet(!). I used them in meatloafs, when frying onions, peppers & muchrooms. Still haven't seen the Heinz Ketchup anywhere here. Bread and butter pickles are the sweet ones, usually found as chips, though I have seen them as whole pickles too. Don't know where the name comes from. Em-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curious, which chain grocery store have the relish and pickles at those prices. Here any thing with no carb prices are terrible. |
