Default Recommitting to weight loss/good health

Hi Everyone,
I'm a lifetime Weight Watchers member since 9 years ago, but I am currently 10
lbs overweight.. I also suspect my cholesterol is high (I have a doctor's
appointment in 2 weeks so I'll confirm that soon). The saying about the last 10
lbs. being the hardest to lose has proven true for me..

Ever since I turned 40 two years ago, I noticed my metabolism is slightly
slower and I've been told that after menopause, it gets harder to keep weight
off. So I've decided to do my best to start eating healthy now, following
Weight Watchers since, for me, it's the most flexible, moderate diet. I'm also
just trying to make 3 small changes every 3-4 weeks.

My first 3 changes a
1. cut out the Werther's hard candy (I'm addicted) and switch to Lifesavers
(non-addictive for me),
2. for every glass of Crystal Light, drink at least 1 glass of H2O,
3. cut back cardio from 30 to 20 minutes and add 20 minutes of weight training.
5 x/week

I'll let everyone know how it goes. I've read many of the messages on this
board and this seems to be a very inclusive community. I look forward to
participating.

Welcome Blanche. I know all too well how hard it is to lose those last 10
pounds.
I've been a WW lifetime member since the mid 80's. I recently joined one of
their at-work programs and am trying to get back to goal - 7 more pounds to
go.

Beverly
