Default Looking for good tasting & low carb Turkey Gravy Recipe

For real soon too!
I think I am going to splurge for a 1/2 cup or so of mashed potatoes
next Thursday and would like to have gravy too. I suppose that, with
the large jolt of carbs from the previously total abstinence from
potatoes, what could a few more from gravy hurt.....supposedly 45
carbs or so worth, but......

I would appreciate any ideas or experience.

Are you doing the cooking? If you are, why not mashed cauliflower?
Anyway, if you're going to have mashed potatoes, I've always found that
a TBS or two of cream stirred into some meat juice works well. If that
won't do, get yourself some ThickenThin not/Starch thickener. It works
really well. One more word, sometimes the idea of mashed potatoes and
things is better than the actual thing, and the substitutes like
cauliflower, squash, etc., satisfy the cravings just as well. Good luck.

an entire cup of canned turkey gravy only has 12 grams of carbs.

i don't think you need to worry about it.

I need to find that thickener stuff.....I know the gravy isn't too
high a count, but every one I save there I can add to the spud count!!

Cooked cauliflower is a bit tough for me to take...although I do like
it cooked and then later in a refrigerated salad with oil and vinegar
and seasoning.....broccoli too.

I am not too sure about the canned gravy......

They have it at most health food stores. It's a little expensive, but it
really does last a very long time. Whatever you eat, have a great
Holiday, and a safe one. :-)

Like one of those mall stores?
I will look in GNC or whatever it is called.
All this low carb stuff is expensive. However, I have found it makes
doing low carb much easier.

All I need now is low carb potatoes and popcorn.......
