2 ibs a week?
It seems like an incredible amount of weight to lose when you consider that
a weight lose of just 2 lbs per week equates to a deficit of 1000 calories per day. After my initial drop of 8 lbs due to water weight loss, losing just 10 lbs of fat has been a lot of work. Starting to do some weight bearing exercise and stair climbing last week which seems to move the scale again, but every pound is a challenge. Wish it were as easy coming off as it went on! Want to lose 20 more by the end of the year and hope to stay on this way of eating and exercise! Already feel more energetic and down one pant size. 280/263/240 |

As your body fat % decreases, you may need to adjust downwards. Rule of thumb is 31 calories deficit per pound of body fat. Here is an explanation of how much fat you can lose. http://www.emotionsforengineers.com/...ed-theory.html T |

Here is an explanation of how much fat you can lose. http://www.emotionsforengineers.com/...ed-theory.html T I would be really happy at a loss rate of 2 Ibs per week, but I know my body's survival program will constantly adjust to resist big losses. That's why I think it's very important to know how to fuel the body in terms of timing and content and not just count simple calories. Everything we eat reacts differently in our system, so a 500 calorie piece of pizza or cake is very different from a 500 calorie piece of steak and or chicken dinner. Fried, baked, roasted are other things to conceder too. More important as well, our machine was designed to move as part of the survival programming, sitting at a desk all day was never part of the plan, so it's crucial to find ways to keep moving ! ;-) |
