Default ASD Book Club

This is a weekly repost to serve as a reminder and possibly encourage new
members to join in. Originally posted 9/25/04.

For those who are interested in participating, the first book is Thin for
Life: 10 Keys to Success from People Who Have Lost Weight and Kept It Off by
Anne M. Fletcher.

It is available new or used at Amazon.com
http://tinyurl.com/3vslp
and I'm sure that it's found in other places too since the updated edition
was published 3/31/03. If anyone needs assistance in purchasing the book,
let me know and I'll be happy to help.

In order to give people time to find it and read it, we have set a date of
11/1 to begin discussion of the details within.

For those who are unable to or do not care to participate at this time,
hopefully you will find something of interest in the discussion. If not,
the thread will be well marked for easy killing.

Happy reading!

Jenn

No, no, no! You've got to give me mini-goals! It's sitting on my desk
- okay, it's sitting in front of my face - okay, I leafed through the
start... can we just say we'll discuss the Introduction next Sunday?

And maybe do one key a week? I can fit this in if I focus on doing
small assignments.

I'm in the middle of a couple of other books, including the hilarious
(and sad) story "Bushwhacked" by Molly Ivins that seems like timely
reading to me.

Well, I now have my copy of the book. That was the easy bit - all I
have to do is make time to read it. I really want to be able to join
the discussion so I'll make time somehow.

We'd better take THAT conversation over to misc.fitness.weights where
[apparently] it belongs. :-)

Not unless you want me to talk about "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid
White Man" which is an excellent read! : )

It probably is, but people in glass houses should definitely not throw
stones... ( GWB not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer) I'm not a
big fan of MM, but he's not in charge of making policy at this time. I can
ignore *him* if I don't like what he's doing. It's hard to ignore GWB and
Tom DeLay and the way they're trashing this country to benefit their pals.

That's your opinion, not mine, let's leave it at that.

Works for me! I think it's a good thing when people can agree to disagree.

Absolutely. : ) To be honest, I'm sick of politics, they're all crooks
anyway.

My sentiments exactly. See - we DO agree after all
