Scientific debate on "Siesta and coronary artery disease"
"Sleep is an important part of life ... As a matter of fact, it is
almost impossible to reach anyone in the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC between noon and 2 p.m. because everybody is supposed to be napping." (Letter to the Editor, Intl J of Epid 2001 30:183; http://ije.oupjournals.org/cgi/content/full/30/1/183) Although this might be true... if I were in charge, these fine scientists would spend more efforts on blowing up approaching hurricanes and nuking asteroids. Or discovering life on Europa - in that ocean under the icy crust heated by the gravitational wobble. Not on calling embassies or some pussy arguments like that. DZ |
