Default I'm so disappointed...

I am leaving early Tuesday morning for the states. I had wanted to be 139
by that time. I've been hovering around 139.5-140.5 but have been
incredibly disciplined lately even when baking delicious goodies in the
kitchen. I was expecting to be "there" this morning. 139.0 not 139.5. My
scale registered nothing! This is a relatively new Taylor Lithium scale my
sister purchased from Walmart last July, so it isn't an old scale.

So, anyway, I pulled out the 2 old scales I have. One read 62.6 kg
(purchased this scale here in Poland) and an old nondigital that changes
every time you wiggle said 137. This does put me close to my goal, but
not on the "same scale"! I suppose I can't express my disapointment but
at the same time am glad that it happened now as I can take the scale with
me back to the states to see about exchanging it. I guess I'll never know
if I made this particular "subgoal" of mine.

AT that weight you are fretting over 1/2 pound? 8 ounces? Good heavens, that
is like one glass of water. And using 3! scales to check it out that 1/2
pound? You'll probably lose that much from dehydration and nervous trips to
the bathroom en route to the states worrying about it and weigh that when you
hit land.

"Don't worry, be happy."

Becky says,
Nope. Not really .5 lb. Just that my scale gave out...about like your
transmission giving out 2 days before you are scheduled for a 500 mile
trip...only on a much, much smaller scale. Sorry. I guess you'd have to
be "me" to understand. I'm just disappointed that I'll "never know" if I
made this goal, but truly, in the long run, I know it doesn't matter to
anyone but me.

No, I'd hazzard a guess that most of us do understand. I've certainly
BTDT. But the point people are making is, don't let something outside
of yourself determine how you feel, as in happy or disappointed.
Someone once said to me, "If your shades were pulled, would you lay
there in bed and not know how you felt until you put them up and saw if
it was sunny or raining, and I got the concept.

Celebrate!

Oh for heaven's sake!

I agree with the other replies - 1/2 lb is minor at your weight. Stop
eating salt and drink lots of water.

About your scale - we have one of those also. Do you seriously think it
is not working? You compare it to an old non-digital kind that changes
everytime you wiggle and you're going to believe that over the digital?
And then, you're going to *take the Taylor Lithium back to the States*
to exchange it? Come on, Becky - that's silly. That's alot of weight to
add to your luggage for no good reason.

I suggest your Taylor Lithium is dead on, and you are on a stall. We all
get on stalls. Don't bother yourself with the extra weight in your
luggage and lose valuable visiting time to make an exchange at Walmart.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but suck it up and have a great time on
your visit! I wish you a wonderful time!

Regards,

Deb

I'm sorry, Becky. Due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, the United
States will be closed next week. Perhaps you could reschedule?
