Is it "Fit for Life" or "Body for Life"?
One of these books came recommended and I can't recall which one. I've
Googled the books and it seems "Body for Life" is an ad for a supplement Myoplex. Does anybody have opinions? |

Does anybody have opinions? Body for Life is a program for fitness. We had one poster who did very well on it. I have the book and often use their weight lifting program. Could you be looking for "Thin for Life"? |

"Fit for Life" is about combining certain foods Here is what Weight Loss review says about it "Fit for Life": Fit for Life is a best-selling book by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond, first published in 1985 but still popular today (it has sold 11 million copies worldwide & been translated into 32 languages). Fit for Life isn't really a diet, in the authors' view; it's rather a program for eating the right foods in the right combinations - a program which makes dieting obsolete. |

I got that book and started reading it. I didn't get very far. The authors seemed to hold dear the idea that the body is chock full of undefined toxins that eating foods in the right combinations, or something, would help clear up. It was written in a frenetic, true believer tone that was very off putting to me. It seemed to me they do make some good recommendations about eating fruits, veggies, whole grains and whatnot. But the reasoning behind it was one step (if that) above reading chicken entrails. -- Annie As of 01-13-06: 258/204/140 Standing at 5 foot 4. 54 pounds lost. 64 left to go.
