When I color my hair, I use a large lawn and leaf bag as a smock - rip
holes for my head and arms in it and then strip off my clothes and pull
it on. Then I do my hair, then get in the shower and when all the goop
is out of my hair I pull off the garbage bag and shower as usual. It
works great - doesn't get all over me or cloths, no cleanup etc.

Well, I'm down 45 lbs since Valentines Day on low carb and --tada-- the
garbage bag fits me much better!! ::laughing::

I did my hair last night and found that I was swimming in the bag that
would have been tight on me before I dumped the weight.

At this rate I may be in a "tall kitchen garbage bag" instead of an
outdoor leaf bag by summer!

Side note: if you are Caucasian but the woman on the hair color box is
not, look out. Even if your hair is dark you still may look like Roy
Orbison if you use that color.

LQ, who now looks like Roy Orbison

Cool idea! Consider it stolen : )

ROFL! So long as you don't morph into a French bread one, that might be OTT
: )

Maybe with luck I'll be able to fit one leg into a baguette bag  .

And if you use the garbage bag trick don't answer the door until the
procedure is over - it frightens the postman  .

In article .com,

I just get into the tub, take a bath for while, THEN put the color on
and set the timer (which I put next to the tub for that purpose) -- no
garbage bag needed!

CONGRATULATIONS -- that's GREAT progress!

would have been tight on me before I dumped the weight.

I can relate -- I used to do the same for washing dishes sometimes
because the front of me would get sopping wet (that was in my previous
place where I had one of those handy-dandy sink hoses, which I LOVED,
but the pressure created a LOT of spatter). I think I started out with
a lawn bag, but eventually ended up with a relatively loose tall kitchen
bag :-) It IS a kind of funny (but NOTICEABLE) comparison :-) I also
wore them a couple of times when I got my hair cut because the aprons
they use always smell of perfume and hair product, even if it's "fresh",
and then it gets on my neck and clothes and I have to go home and take a
shower and change my clothes because the smell will drive me CRAZY for
the rest of the day. I could tell my hairdresser REALLY didn't like the
idea of having a customer seen wearing a garbage bag, though (I'll
concede that it DOES look pretty low-rent :-), so I made my own
(attractive) hair-cutting apron out of a nice round cloth tablecloth,
some seam binding and velcro.
