Default Interim Goal

My beloved Tracy is coming back from school on Dec 22nd.
I have decided to set a short term goal of 240 lbs for that day. 240# was
pretty much what I weighted when we met.
To try to ensure that I hit this goal I am finally going to try to kick salt
(I stalled for a week after they took me off Zestoretic and I think that was
because of no longer taking the diuretic (my % of body fat continued to go
down)), and I am starting walking every day.
And I am announcing it here, which helps since the goal is a surprise for
Tracy.

BTW, who ever it was that turned me on to www.fitday.com ... Thank you Thank
you Thank you.

Go Garth! That's very considerate and romantic of you. I'm sure you'll
be rewarded well:-)

It's sort of silly, but I've always felt like I pulled a bit of bait and
switch on her. I was in the best shape I've been in since high school when I
met her (which isn't saying much) then blew my rotator cuff and fell off the
exercise routine, putting on 70 lbs within that year. She's never said
anything, but....

I'm curious to how tall you are. When I first started dieting I weighed
320 (6'3", BTW)

I'm 5' 10", but have short legs and a long body trunk. My nutritionist says
based on my trunk to figure my ideal weight as if I was 6'1".

Right on. I get frustrated sometimes, because according to all the medical
charts I'm supposed to weigh in at something like 185 pounds- at which
weight I would look like walking death. I think those charts are wacked.

I am of the same opinion. I've settled in on trying to get to 195. I know
from long ago experience that I start to look reasonably good around 215. At
195 I may reappraise the situation but that target seems doable and
reasonable. One of the things I love about LC is that it does seem doable.
It's not a diet where I am fighting all my natural instincts on a daily
basis, but seems truly like something I can do for the rest of my life. I
never felt that with any other system.

Oh hell yeah, LC rocks. I want to get down to 200 just to prove I can, but
I have a hard time getting motivated, because I look *damn* good now.
Maybe I need to exercise.
