Default week 72

I mentioned in an earlier post that we did have the angelfood cake with
strawberries & peaches, some of us had whipped cream, but my sister and I
just had cake and fruit. It was good, thanks for the idea.

Offer Cool Whip - you can indulge too if you like. There isn't more than

a few
calories per tablespoon or two between the regular version and low/no fat

one.
Hope you enjoy this as much as my family does.

This sound good Joyce, thanks. Think it's what I'll make for dessert.
Anyone that wants to can put some whipped cream on top of theirs.

Guess I should have given a few more directions. grin Bake the cake

in
a flat
sheet cake pan (9x13 maybe) - not one of the tubed angel food pans. It

comes out
just like a regular sheet cake, but light like angel food cake - slice

the
cake
into 12 pieces, think it came out to 3 us pts. per piece. I'll paste

the
recipe
I have below, just remember that you can use any kind of canned fruit -

just pick
your favorite. I mashed the peaches up a bit as I wanted the pieces

smaller ...
probably don't have to, whatever your heart desires. grin

Joyce

Peachy Angel Food Cake

Serving Size : 12

1 package angel food cake mix, one step - dry -- 1 pound

box
15 ounces sliced peaches, canned in extra light syrup -- 1

large can

In extra large bowl, cut peaches into small pieces.
Add liquid from peaches.
Add 1-step angel food cake mix to peaches.

Mix peaches with juice and cake mix for time specified on box mix. (30

seconds
low, 60 seconds high)

Spread into an ungreased 9x13 cake pan.

Bake in preheated 350 oven for 30-35 minutes.

Turn cake upside down over 4 cans, as you would a regular angel food

cake.
Cool
completely.

This sounds good Joyce. Does the cake still get fluffy or is it more

mix
with soda either, but that sounds good. It's my sister's birthday on

Sunday
and her husband is going to be away herring fishing (need to keep

Fred
and
the rest of us in pickled herring for the next year). I thought I

might
invite her for dinner on the weekend. Maybe I'll try one of the cake
recipes.

A box of angelfood cake mix, mixed with a large can of crushed

pineappless
is also
wonderful ... or mixed with a can of peaches (I cut them up and use

the
juice) is
even better.

I am down another 1.2, this makes it 87.1 total. the weight is

164.4
so
I
have 2.4 for the next star at WW. It has been a good week. I
started
this
morning with all of my flex points. DH is making a cake we got

from
TJ
and
with a few adaptations, it will be 5 points per serving for a

ninth
of
the
cake. We decided to make it in the muffin tins so 4 per

cupcake
for
poundcake. Life is grand, Lee, of to eat some flex points, and
before I
forget, good luck to you all this week...

Hey, does anyone have a good WW cake recipe they could share with

me?
Been
on WW for about a month now.

Thanks Faye

What is in Cool Whip? Wonder if it really is healthier than the real
stuff these days?

We did the usual, rice, chow mein, lots of veggies with prawns, sweet &

sour
pork, wonton soup. There were 9 of us and I was careful!

egg drop soup is low in points, and if you want to cheat just a bit,

look
for prepackaged egg rolls, the brand I get is Chungs, two per nice size
roll, and I also get lingling potstickers, about a point a piece and
smallish but excellent tasting, I am dying to see what you make, I love
Chinese food, Lee

Thanks Lee, I'll do that. I've decided that I'm going to try to make

a
low-fat chinese buffet. Everyone likes chinese, but if I'm cooking I

can
make it without all the deep-frying and extra oil!
