hmm. Lactose. Run where? For What? snort.
I think we need to change positions every now and again, I tend to like a
little variety, and I don't plan on going Up where you are, so you gotta
come on down (I am going to embarrass myself if I don't watch it)

I don't know why or what but for some reason I cannot sustain the
effort to drive things down on a regular and continuing basis. Maybe
I "kneed" a kick but I would prefer the rear and not one of the
already troubled knees.

You can be sure that I will not buy these chocolate stars again - last
night I thought as much and this morning confirmed, they are made with
LACTOSE!!!! You could not give me as much gas as these things did (G)

It is definitely my snacking behaviors that need WORK. My meals are
really fine - controlled and reasonable and healthy so I probably
should never really fall back as bad as I was.

Now to give you a run for the money...... or run from you!!!!!!! (G)

When I had mackeral I just thought it was WAY too oily and couldn't
stand the texture and oiliness at all. My dad used to sometimes bring
home octopus and we'd clean it and cook it. All four of us kids loved it
then. Scallops cooked - ok. Never tried raw. Have never eaten
yellowtail, smelt or urchin at all. I've seen my dad crack open a fresh -
live
urchin and eat something out of the inside - gross if you ask me. This
is someone who also eats raw oysters! I love oysters - cooked though!

Perhaps I should arrange for my dad to take you out on a boat trip - the
two of you could enjoy a meal of raw urchin and oysters!

Actually, the mackeral is pickled which I had known. But it does not
taste very pickled but definitely fishy and very oily. Octopus is
cooked. Forgot raw scallops. Yellowtail raw, smelt raw, urchin raw.

I like octopus - cooked. Mackerel I've tried cooked and didn't
like the oiliness at all so wouldn't eat it raw. Shrimp raw -
maybe....I've never tried eel and lox is wonderful, so if the salmon
is like that I might be able to eat it.

Raw tuna is generally really tender and very pleasant. Octopus is
rubbery/chewy. Mackeral is fishy/oily (I save it for "dessert").
Shrimp is either sweet shrimp and raw or just your normal shrimp and
cooked. Eel is sweet and smoked. Raw salmon is almost lox-like. And
the list goes on.....

Well, it is Weds and someone from Texas is probably waiting to see
if
she remains on bottom as if there is any doubt about that lately.

My secretary, who is a WW leader - "At Work" program but not at OUR
work - had to pick up her scale to move locations and had it at work
yesterday. Hmmm, we both thought. Should have left it at THOUGHT.

Took blazer off, emptied pockets, took off shoes. We both thought
about the tie. It was not pretty but it was after lunch. Let's
just
say I was below 170 at that time.

She knew this could be my first WI of a new month. She suggested
lots
of cauliflower and broccoli for diuretic impacts. I mentioned
meatloaf left from the weekend and she shuddered (G) Well, it was
organic, grassfed from Eastern Washington and good. No added oils
or
egg.

(hey, I'm feeling like Krys writing a novella)

Ate meatloaf, sweetpotato, simmered mushrooms, and the mandatory
broc
and cauli.... Even had two Trader Joe's Chocolate Orange strings.

I think that brings us current.

The bottom line....

NO CHANGE since the first week of January. Exactly the same - over
goal - but still free. Let me just say that there were changes in
the middle but they leveled out and are gone - thankfully.

Unlike you and my dad, I am not able to really do "raw"
seafood, so will stick with cooked I think. Do they make sushi
out of raw prawns too or just shrimp? My BIL is a prawn
fisherman, but again I need to cook mine! I suppose the season
will open in a few months here. Last season I bought about
40 lbs, used about 20 lbs. at our housewarming barbeque, then
put the rest int the freezer - I think I still have about 2 lbs left.
DH won't eat them, so it's just DS, grandma and I that do.

DH refuses to eat any seafood with a shell - he's very fussy!
I don't know that there is any seafood I don't like, but then
I was brought up in a family of fishermen too - makes a
difference. DH was born in England - moved here with his
parents when he was 11 - not much seafood available in
Lutterworth (Midlands) apparently.

Hey, I've got the same problem this week although tonight wasn't too bad.
I seem to go through spurts where I want something sweet after dinner - then
that one little thing that I thought would be enough - just isn't.

Tonight I had a few tablespoons of vanilla pudding - that DS said was
yucky -
but it wasn't - he's never eaten vanilla pudding before so anything new is
always yucky to him.

For a snack later on I had a few rice crackers with hummus.

Now to give you a run for the money...... or run from you!!!!!!! (G)

Good luck! You might need it if you keep on snacking like you have!

My husband will eat fish, but nothing with a shell.

I'm going to try to get out and do something today. A day off work
and I'm not taking DH's grandmother anywhere - I took her for
a hair appt. yesterday afternoon at 4:00, so I could get away with
leaving her at home this weekend - gives me more time to do stuff
with my son. If I take her out on a Saturday or Sunday she always
asks to come home with me then I'm stuck sitting and trying to
entertain her all day while she complains constantly about how
no one does anything for her - last weekend was enough for me -
this weekend is MINE!

I know that there is a difference between what they call Sweet Shrimp
(raw) and the other kind (cooked). I think one is more fresh water
and cannot be trusted for health reasons raw. The Sweet are about an
inch to inch and a half long - pretty small, so probably not prawns.

I recall that your husband was from England. That could explain his
reluctance with fish. My mom just did not like the fishy cooked odor
and rarely made it. But dad liked it. Mom did like all kinds of
shellfish though. (I'm stalling getting out in the weather... dressed
for hiking and slowly eating breakfast and doing THIS....)
