Default Would This Diet Combo Work?

I've looked at about 1500 messages and saw nothing similiar to this idea.

We all know that starvation diets and/or fasting are extremely effective as
a diet. The side effect seems to be the loss of muscle. So, what about a
starvation diet along with a supplement that stimulates muscle growth?
Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds? You probably won't bulk up but I'd
guess that you wouldn't lose what you have. Has anyone tried this
combination?

Want to kill yourself, or just loose weight/ I will venture that this
group believes in responsible weight loss plans and doesn't endorse
your proposed plan.

No it would be stupid. You would wind up with a heart attack in
spite of your bulging biceps. Sorry but it's late and you asked.

Don't try that. You'd be dead in no time.

Strange thinking is all I can say. Starvation and fasting have no
correlation to a proper diet. Yes, if one shoots themselves I can guarantee
they will have a quick weight loss also. Also I don't thing supplements
are going to do much good with muscle if your not feeding your body proper
nutrients. I think myself and others have agreed that your scenario is
crazy and not at all probable or feasible.

Stop right there. Do we know this? My experience is that starvation
diets lead to rebound eating with a slower metabolism and hence, lead
inexorably to even higher levels of obesity. Yes, starvation reduces
weight short-term, but unless your goal is to lose weight for a photo
shoot or a wrestling match, i.e., a specific instant in time, it doesn't
seem "extremely effective" to me.

What stimulant are you talking about? The only ones I know about need
your to be eating quite a bit to get the muscle-building matter they
need. They're also illegal and dangerous when used as directed. When
used in combination with starvation? Well, check with your doctor first!

What are your goals? If you're trying to lose 5 pounds to meet your
weight requirement for the race on Friday then you're talking about
something different than I'm talking about.

A starvation diet is extremely effective at burning muscle and conserving
fat. There is NO supplement that stimulates muscle growth, except steroids,
and you still need proper nutrition to increase muscle mass. Proper
nutrition includes a calorie SURPLUS and adequate protein. Now, perhaps you
could alternate between starving and binging - maybe that would work... Why
don't you give it a try and let us know how it works for you. In the
meantime, I'll be enjoying dull yet successful moderation of calories with
exercise.

So two wrongs make a right? Fasting makes you lose weight, but what's
to stop you from gaining it right back? You need permament habit
change to get permament weight loss. Steroids (muscle gain) are a
stupid way to ruin your health.

he?
