NYNY update - Joyce
I got hooked on the ice cream sandwich type-strawberry shortcake flavored
until I found the fugde bars. I'll have to try the cookies and cream bars too. Just for variety. Wouldn't want to get stuck in a rut g. "Joyce" wrote in message ... Oh, those have been my favorite since I discovered them over a year ago! They are wonderful, and definitely satisfy my chocolate cravings. I always have a box in the freezer. They also have cookies and cream bars, very good but not as good as the fudge ones. g Joyce On Sun, 23 Nov 2003 17:36:31 GMT, "Laura" wrote: I just discovered their Fudge bars. Dangerous habit. I can't keep some snacks in the house either. I do pretty good staying

Yep, that's me. The list of things I don't have in the house is pretty
extensive: Baked goods, chips, frozen treats, candy, anything considered a snack food rarely makes an appearance on my grocery list. I must have been dozing when the willpower gene was being handed out. I just don't have any. I'm in Mpls, but no matter. Trader Joe's isn't in Minnesota at all.
According to the Trader Joe's Web site, these are the only states with stores: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington. So I'm spared. I can't Miss Meringues here anymore either. I don't know what happened; when I first started WW, I was able to buy them. But sometime during the summer, another brand moved to town and I can't find Miss M's anywhere. The replacement brand is not nearly as good. Again, I'm saved. Skinny Cows, though, are another matter. Every grocery store carries at least one of the flavors. On Sun, 23 Nov 2003 19:27:54 -0800, Fred wrote: Snow blow the City and have a blast (G) No Trader Joes in Minn/StPaul areas? I may have misspoke. I just checked locations on www.missmeringue.com
and saw several stores listed. The next time I'm grocery shopping I'll have to check again. Curious. For several months, I couldn't find a box of Miss Meringues to save my life. Although considering how hard it is for me to stop at 1/2 or a full serving, maybe I'm better off thinking they're not available. Interesting - I heard that TJ's locates where there are already
markets that specialize in natural foods - they prefer the competition since their prices tend to be so low. Miss Meringues seem to be dropping off here, too. The nearby grocery that carried them now has much less inventory or none sometimes. And Bed, Bath carries many of the larger size which I don't like as much and they do not seem to carry the very chocolate (G) Skinny Cows seem to carry a flavor allegance - only some flavors at some stores. I finally noticed the strawberry ones but that flavor does not really interest me. (G) Now that does not mean I might not succumb..... How's the snow? I think the meringues have more of a grab on me these days. I haven't had many skinny cows, seem to have moved out of that habit. BUT ... my local store had *cool peppermint* flavor last week. I haven't seen that before so had to pick a package up. BIG mistake ... they now keep calling my name. g Joyce On Sun, 16 Nov 2003 10:53:09 -0800, Fred wrote: You mean other than skinny cows and Miss Meringues (G) On Sun, 16 Nov 2003 10:38:38 -0600, Joyce wrote: Thanks Fred! Once again the actual weighin Friday morning was lower, and much as I would love to post anything in that 120 decade ... I'm averaging, and average tells me 130. I'm happy, happy, happy. Evidentally eating more does help, as long as *more* is within reason. A few weeks prior I think I was existing on next to nothing, watching things just a bit too carefully as well as falling back into the trap of not drinking enough water. Then again, maybe the loss was extra muscle water retention? This week I only managed to squeeze in 2 days of exercise. My own fault, no excuses. I had one or two busy days, then found myself fallen into some sort of a funk - just couldn't drag myself to do much of anything other than whine about everything. Today I took a step into the right direction. Instead of just sitting here, I hauled my butt to the basement and walked for 45 minutes - right back into the old routine. If only I could remind myself how much of a mood lifter the exercise is! I have felt great the rest of today. NYNY update - Joyce
You know - even if you blow it, I think the whole tub is still less
than an ordinary piece of chocolate cake not that I am sanctioning such loss of control (G) And I forgot - yes, I've had a few off-brands and they are not as smooth or good altho, TJ's are fine but they do not have the mini's I want. The next time I'm grocery shopping I'll have to check again. Curious. For several months, I couldn't find a box of Miss Meringues to save my life. Although considering how hard it is for me to stop at 1/2 or a full serving, maybe I'm better off thinking they're not available. But sometime during the summer, another brand moved to town and I can't find Miss M's anywhere. The replacement brand is not nearly as good.
