REDISCOVERED WARDROBE -- AND THEY FIT!!!
I was just going through my closet and found a BUNCH of of jeans in
several different colors -- and 11 of 15 of them actually FIT me now (one of them is even too big)!!! I've been putting off getting new jeans until I lost more weight. Then I decided to wait for Labor Day sales since I planned to buy at least 5 pairs, but then I suddenly have to move, so shopping is a low priority at the moment. Still, I was toying with the idea of at least going to a thrift store to find something to fit in the meantime because all my other pants were getting so big they were starting to slide down alarmingly. I really have taken them in about all they can be taken in and I'm really too busy these days to do any sewing. I THOUGHT I had way more jeans from the past in my closet, but when I looked I only found about 3 pairs and they were too small (now I have to find THEM again). Somehow, the stash I found today just magically showed up (right where I had looked for them in the FIRST place -- I was probably so used to ignoring them that they became invisible to me like part of the closet floor). I'm going to soak them in OxyBrite all night to get out the mildewy odor, and if it works, I'm giving away or tossing ALL of my old jeans (and I have a LOT of them)! An added bonus: some of them are flared, which is in style right now. I've been wearing mostly pegged-style jeans because that's what I had that fit me. The waist on most of them is lower than I like, but they aren't low-rise. It just goes to prove the old adage: If you hold onto something long enough, it WILL come back into style :-) I think these are from the early to mid-80s :-) -- Saffire 205/132/125 Atkins since 6/14/03 Progress photo: http://photos.yahoo.com/saffire333 *** This post originated in alt.support.diet.low-carb -- its appearance in any other forum is deceptive and unauthorized. *** |

I think I'm going to bring a couple of different sized pairs downstairs to store. Good way to start the weekend. bmcky Boston, MA |

Ain't it wonderful?
I now fit a Levi's jacket that is so small, it must be a quarter century old. It is in perfect condition after years of storage. "Saffire" wrote in message .. . Congrats! I bet it feels wonderful. I have 6 more lbs to lose. I am
losing very slowly---it is frustrating. I don't see or feel a difference in my clothing, either. How is your moving coming along? "Saffire" wrote in message .. .
