eggs are a good food (satiating!) and have minimal impact on
one's b/g, provided you poach/boil them (1st choice) or cook
them in a high smoke point fat (olive oil is medium smoke

vegetable oils are low smoke point

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why would eggs be better for you
poached/boiled than scrambled??? I scramble mine as I can't stand them
poached or boiled, and I use no cooking fat.

I cook mine in all sorts of different ways for variety.
Poached, scrambled, omelettes, frittatas, fried (in olive
oil, or a light spray of canola, or a smear of butter),
soft-boiled, hard-boiled in salads etc etc.

The only thing that has any effect on my BGs is the foods I
add to the eggs, not the eggs themselves or the method of
cooking. Nor has my ration of an egg a day had any effect on
my lipids.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

Hi, Alan!!

I used to love eggs scrambled with a touch of butter, but I'm calorie
counting right now. I will give it a try with olive oil, though!

I love frittatas, and that's something I'll definitely have again once
off the diet.

Hi Chris. Just keeping in touch via asd.uk. Off the diet?
Eggs aren't specifically fattening - it's all about portion
control. Same with frittatas - I don't add cream and I'm
easy on the cheese.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

Do the cholesterol medications you take lower your lipids?
